CROTTY REFUSES TO ALLOW PUBLIC INPUT

AX THE TAX CALLS FOR OPEN PUBLIC HEARING
Orange County Mayor Rich Crotty's office today confirmed that he has scheduled a vote on the commuter rail project without allowing any public input prior to the vote by the Orange County Commission.
The Board of County Commissioners are scheduled to vote on the project
Tuesday,
There have NO public hearings and NO public process to allow Orange County taxpayer's to express their opposition to the billion dollar project.
"This is an outrage to schedule this vote with no public input. Ax the Tax calls upon the Orange County Commission to do the right thing and allow public input. Taxpayers are overwhelmingly opposed to this boondoggle and the county commissioners need to hear from the people," stated Doug Guetzloe, Chairman of Ax the Tax.
Ax the Tax will be alerting taxpayers as to the reasons to oppose commuter rail over the next six (6) days and will be asking taxpayers to contact their commissioners.
